KOĀTE (Antihemophilic Factor (Human)) is a medicine used to temporarily replace clotting factor (factor VIII or antihemophilic factor) that is missing or low in people with hemophilia A (also called “classic” hemophilia). KOĀTE is used to prevent and control bleeding. It may also be given to you when you have surgery. KOĀTE is not approved for the treatment of von Willebrand disease.
